Harbaugh On Rumors Of Locker Room Unrest: ‘Personally I think It’s A Bunch of Crap

Jim Harbaugh is no fan of unnamed sources.

On Monday morning, the NFL Network’s Deion Danders started just such a rumor by claiming that anonymous San Francisco 49er players told him that they don’t want to play for Harbaugh anymore.

“Personally I think that’s a bunch of crap,” said the head coach in a press conference.

As was pointed out to Harbaugh, this is not first time that a similar report has surfaced this season.

Is it possible that there’s somebody in the organization who’s leaking these stories?

“Whenever you talk about unnamed sources, you know, that’s, if somebody’s got a good story to tell—they want to put their name to it.”

“So, I don’t put a lot of credibility into the unnamed source.”

Harabugh also commented on report by Trent Dilfer of ESPN in which the former quarterback called the locker room “toxic.”

“I haven’t seen Trent or Deion around much.”

Harbaugh then confirmed that there are no problems with his relationships with his bosses, CEO Jed York and general manager Trent Baalke.

“Very good. Everybody on the same page. Everybody focused on this season. Making it the best it can possibly be.”
