Marcus Lattimore is a fixture on the side field.
While his San Francisco 49ers teammates practice, the second-year running back can always be seen taking part in agility drills and running sprints with other rehabbing players on the extra field at the team’s Santa Clara training facility in the shadows of Levi’s Stadium.

Lattimore, who is recovering from a major knee injury, has been doing the same type of conditioning work dating back to the team’s offseason program. As he is currently on PUP, Lattimore won’t see the field for the first six weeks of the season. However, Frank Gore, who has dealt with his own serious knee problems, likes what he’s seen out of Lattimore, per Matt Barrows of The Sacramento Bee.
“I think he’s coming along fine. He seems to be working hard at it, he’s looking explosive again. He wants to get out there bad. But his time will come. His time will come.”
