The Los Angeles Dodgers announced that Hyun-Jin Ryu and Juan Uribe were both reinstated from the disabled list and in the starting lineup on Sunday, against the San Diego Padres.
Ryu returns after missing 14 games with a hip strain, with his last start coming on Aug.13th against the Atlanta Braves. In 23 starts, Ryu is 13-6 with a 3.28 ERA this season. The Dodgers optioned right-handed pitcher Carlos Frias as a corresponding move, who posted a 5.65 ERA in the month of August.
The Dodgers also optioned Miguel Rojas to make room for Uribe, on Sunday. Rojas has appeared in 66 games for Los Angeles in 2014, resulting in a .195 batting average with one homer and eight RBIs. Uribe’s offense will be welcomed back with open arms, after missing 12 games with a right hamstring strain. He’s managed a steady .293 average with 35 RBIs in 81 games this season.
Los Angeles is 45-36 in games Uribe has played in this season.
