Alex Boone and San Francisco 49ers Agree to New Deal
Alex Boone and the San Francisco 49ers have agreed to a new deal, according to Jason Cole of Bleacher Report.… While Boone is back in the fold, the future is extremely murky for Ray McDonald. The defensive lineman was arrested for domestic violence on Sunday morning, as Damian Trujillo of NBC Bay Area reports. As Trujillo notes, the alleged victim is pregnant. Trent Baalke, the 49ers general manager, released a statement on the matter, via Matt Maiocco of CSN Bay Area. “The 49ers organization is aware of the recent reports involving Rya McDonald and we take such matter seriously. As we continue to gather the facts, we will reserve further comment.” The NFL recently rolled out a new domestic violence policy in which the first such offense results in a six-game ban. However, as ProFootballTalk points out, it’s unclear if such a suspension can be given before a court case has been decided. The post Alex Boone and San Francisco 49ers Agree to New Deal appeared first on BaySportsNet.com.
