Harbaugh Doesn’t Have a ‘Crystal Ball’ For When Potential Aldon Smith Suspension Could Be Announced
The regular season is rapidly approaching, and yet the San Francisco 49ers still have no clue just what will happen to Aldon Smith. “I haven’t gotten any indication,” said head coach Jim Harbaugh when asked if he has an idea when the outside linebacker’s potential suspension could be announced. As Harbaugh explained, he he’s unsure whether the announcement will come before the team’s Week 1 matchup in Dallas. When pressed on the topic, Harbaugh remarked: “I haven’t had any indication. So, I don’t know.” “My crystal ball, I don’t have it.” Smith, who met with NFL commissioner Roger Goodell in the first week of August, could be facing up to six to eight weeks on the sidelines.
