Peter Bourjos Update, Day 2

Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim outfielder Peter Bourjos had another day with the Class-A Advanced California League Inland Empire 66ers.

Bourjos lead off and had slightly better results than yesterday. In his first at bat, Bourjos reached base on a throwing error by the shortstop.

In Bourjos’ second at bat, he grounded out into a 4-6-3 double play and followed that up by striking out in his third at bat.

Peter lead off the top of the 7th with a homer to left field, off of Rancho Cucamonga Quakes starter Jarret Martin. Brennan Gowens pinch hit for Bourjos in the top of 9th, giving Bourjos a 1 for 4 day, reaching base once, and sending a ball out of the park.

No note yet on if Bourjos will stay with the 66ers over the rest of the week, but we do know he will be returning to the Angels lineup in the coming week.
